Advanced CATIA Training

Processia Solutions have developed advanced training for specific workbenches to extend the capabilities of CATIA and make full use of the associative intelligence within the software. Read more on a selection of our advanced training offerings below.

Kinematics:

This course covers the CATIA V5 DMU Kinematics workbench and includes advanced GSD skeleton methodology for parametric mechanism design.

Processia Solutions Kinematics training uses real world assemblies to teach the functionalities available; a simple engine mechanism and a fully adjustable double wishbone suspension is designed, simulated, analysed and modified. Kinematic Laws are used to design a cam profile and sensors activated to determine maximum accelerations and velocities. The course teaches best practice mechanism design to take full advantage of CATIA V5's powerful parametric modeller. The training also includes how to create a mechanism using the multi- model skeleton design methodology; this advanced functionality can be adapted to integrate with your data management system.

Course Overview
  • Joint Types

Knowledgeware
This course is for experienced CATIA V5 users, it covers topics in the powerful Knowledgeware suite of workbenches. The course focuses on industrial use of CATIA V5 Knowledgeware and where it can be deployed in real world applications. A step by step spur gear exercise will help you learn and understand

CATIA
Knowledgeware capabilities. The gear is designed from scratch then linked to a design table creating a family of parts using Knowledge Rules and Checks. This enables a flexible gear design which can cope with a wide range of driving parameters. The final exercise involves designing an exhaust clamp assembly using knowledgeware embedded into the CATProduct to significantly reduce the design time of future clamp assemblies.
