Renault F1 Team extends its technical partnership with Processia
Renault F1 Team is delighted to announce a renewal agreement with Processia Solutions, a long-time official supplier of the team. Processia Solutions, based in Laval, Canada, specializes in the implementation of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions and in advanced software development. Their continuous contribution to the Renault F1 Team will help enhance integration and efficiency within the design, build and exploitation sectors of the team.
The design and build process of a Formula 1 car is a complex web of specialist technologies and applications - expert design software must be integrated with hi-tech production technologies and complex exploitation systems. For every sector, there is a specialised application designed in isolation; in Formula 1, the unique challenge comes from making these technologies function in harmony, to produce the end product, a Formula 1 car capable of competing for the World Championship.
Processia Solutions will continue to bring their expertise to the sectors of design, production and circuit exploitation within the Renault F1 Team. In smoothing communications, information transfer and data translation between these sectors, efficiency gains of up to 15% are predicted in some sectors - optimising performance and freeing valuable resources to pursue additional design and development projects.
Renault F1 Team Managing Director Bob Bell commented:
"Competitiveness in Formula 1 is about the ability to build a quick car and maintain its development throughout the season. While we work our resources to full capacity, we must also be attentive to the manner in which we do this and how we make best use of the tools available to us. Processia will help us eliminate the bottlenecks that can slow the constant quest for performance, contributing to our efficiency and productivity across the board."
