ENOVIA Action Editor enables the creation of Actions, which are used to track changes in early product development phase where changes to the product structure are made in informal fashion. It ensures that changes made to the product structure are authorized and tracked while at the same time still provides enough flexibility for the user to freely modify the product structures prior to assigning the modifications to the Actions. Using Actions, previously unrelated work items could be interconnected supporting an informal workflow-like capability. Delinquency monitoring is provided to minimize late work delivery.

Engineering change and workflow processes also employ Actions as the work item breakdown. The Actions itself could be further broken down into several individually assigned child Actions.
