ENOVIA EBOM Part & Assembly Detailing provides part management functionalities related to part creation, modification and relationship, supporting the creation of Engineering Bill of Materials. ENOVIA employs instance-based approach in creating the EBOM, where part data is stored once in the database and can be instanced many times in several product structures. The advantages of this approach are reduced data size and rapid part change propagation.

This product support Relational Design, one of the most advanced industry best practices. Relationship between parts can be created manually and with the appropriate hubbing plug-in (CATIA Hub) the knowledge that defined CAD models and assemblies can be automatically exposed in ENOVIA for usage during relational design process.
